The Sangkhim Canaan School at Kampong Chhnang in the Kingdom of Cambodia is a local school with an international outlook. We offer Kindergarten Classes (K1 & K2 ). We commenced Grade 1 classes in Jan 2011, adding a new level every year after that. The Sangkhim Canaan School aims to provide a comprehensive range of curriculum for all levels (K1, K2, Grade 1 to Grade 6). We have plan to grow the school all the way to Grade 12 eventually.

Our core curriculum will satisfy Cambodia's national education syllabus, and we will prepare our students for the National Examinations in Grade 6. We will supplement the learning with enrichment modules and co-curricular activities.

Vision Statement

Sangkhim Canaan School’s vision is to be a reputable school where each student learns and develops to his/her fullest potential and be transformed into responsible citizens and leaders of the Cambodian community.

 Mission Statement

Sangkhim Canaan School’s mission is to provide Cambodian children with a holistic education focusing on the intellectual, physical, social, moral, cultural and spiritual development grounded on Christian values.

Institutional Principles

Sangkhim Canaan School adopts the following working principles when formulating our approach to education:

• We are dedicated to furthering the education of Cambodian children, with the aim that they will be the nation’s strength and blessing.

• We will work with the local church and the students’ parents to nurture their child intellectually, physically, socially and spiritually (Luke 2:52).

• We are non-partisan and non-political. We do not and will not promote political factionalism. In accordance with biblical principles, we will support and pray for the government. (Romans 13:1).

• Being a Christian School, we will teach students Christian values through the Bible as part of moral education and civics. (2Timothy 3:16).

• As God loves the world and exhorts us to live at peace with everyone, we will promote social harmony and are against all forms of social violence. (John 3:16, Romans 12:18).

• We will work in tandem with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports to develop each student’s full potential, following the National Curriculum and preparing him or her for the National Examinations.

• Believing in holistic education, we seek to develop the student not only in academic studies, but also in areas of the arts, sports and personal character through Enrichment Programmes and extracurricular activities.

• We will promote internationalism through the teaching of foreign languages and cultures. This is to encourage friendship and communication between Cambodia and other countries.
